Jennifer Page recalled that Henry "Harry" Nott knocked off a policeman's helmet in a street near the Colston Hall in Bristol during his stag night party. He had to spend the night in a police cell.

Event Note

After their wedding, Edith Isaline Lane and Harry Nott went by train to Penmaemawr in North Wales for their honeymoon.

Narrative

Harry Nott was concerned about his fiancee's Edith Lane's silence while away working in Warwick. She was perhaps having second thoughts about the pending marriage. Even on her honeymoon she cried all the way on the train to Penmynmawr in North Wales. After the marriage Edith went to her mother in Cinderford, Gloucestershire on the bus to cry to her mother about her new marriage, to which her mother was supposed to have replied, "Well my dear, that's very interesting, but the next bus home leaves in half an hour."
