Narrative
John Nimmo's birth is apparently registered both in Polmont and Muiravonside. Both entries register George Nimmo & Mary Dougal as parents. The birth in Polmont is given as 28.4.1772, but in Muiravonside as 30.4.1772. Whereas, in both entries, the baptism is recorded to have taken place on 10.5.1772, the witnesses are different in each place. What could be the explanation for this?
